Have the alt extend the lockout, zone in and get locked to the instance. They can run and make sure no one else is in there doing the instance. In the lower difficulties you aren’t stuck in one lockout, you can join multiple but you can only loot bosses once. In mythic you get stuck with that one lockout the rest of the week which servers nothing than to punish those who mainly pug. For raids using the ID lockout system you can either be " locked to an ID " or "not assigned an ID". You get "locked to an ID" in two ways: *. 1) be in a fresh instance (all people are not locked and all bosses are alive) and kill a boss - this is automatic. just no loot. The Mythic+ system has no lockouts, meaning the same Mythic+ dungeon can be completed as much as desired, as long as at least one player in the party has a Mythic Keystone. Since Mythic+ dungeons have the exact same loot as normal Mythic dungeons, lower level Mythic+ dungeons can be taken advantage of to farm mounts from these dungeons. The main reward from mythic dungeons is not the dungeon, it is the weekly chest you get.
